I received this ARC from the Netgalley and the publishers for an honest review.

Review | Rating: 5 stars

I enjoyed this book so much. The only thing I hate is the fact that I'll have to wait until December for the last book. Second books in a series always seem to fall flat for me and do not have as much adventure as the first book. Emily doesn't have this problem with her second books. Into the Hourglass had just as much if not more adventure, intrigue, and "oh, wow" moments as Before the Broken Star. I love Everley even more now that I've learned more about her and what drives her. She wants to do what's right and she wants to find love and live a long, happy life. She wants a life where she's not handicapped by a disability and I can unde...

Queen of Ruin is the sequel to Grace and Fury, by Tracy Banghart. Queen of Ruin is a powerful story about female empowerment and finding your voice. Serina and Nomi both had to reinvent themselves throughout the series but more so in Queen of Ruin when they were faced with obstacles that threatened to tear them apart forever.

Queen of Ruin starts right where Grace and Fury left off with Serina and the women on Mount Ruin having led a successful revolt and overpowered the guards and Nomi on a boat with Maris and Malachi headed to Mount Ruin. The sisters are reunited and learn what the other has been through to since they w...

Princess of Thermopylae, Belinda Harrison’s debut novel, released earlier this year and she was kind enough to answer some questions from Teralyn about her life, her novel, writing in general, and more!

Tell us a little about you as a person!

Well, 3 to 6-year-olds find me hilarious—apparently that’s the level of my sense of humour, but on a good day I can hang out with adults and make them spit coffee or wine or beer out their noses as well! I can also be fairly insular and focused when I’m writing or editing, and I get cranky when I’m interrupted with the constant call of ‘Mumma I’m… insert appropriate need here’ or ‘hey babe have you seen…’ by the OTHER two important people in my life—my 11 year old daughter and my fiancé (we’ve been toget...

Adrienne Young’s debut novel, Sky in the Deep released this past spring. It tells the story of a female warrior who is confronted with the fact that the brother she lost five years ago is, in fact, alive and fighting for the enemy. The novel follows her as she finds out what happened that day and in the years since while coming to terms with it all. Teralyn had the pleasure of interviewing Adrienne about writing, her novel, and more!
