Review: Cheap Trick (Dawson Family, #4)
I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Synopsis | Goodreads
Danielle Cross has spent her whole life running from breakups and troubles. She’s never stayed in the same place for long…until now. The moment she walks through the doors of Logan Dawson’s bar, there’s an attraction between them neither can deny. And when Danielle needs a date to her sister’s wedding, Logan is the man for the job. A cheap trick to fool her family is a small price to pay for a weekend in paradise. Playing pretend is easy. The hard part? Trying to convince yourself the feelings are only fake.

OMG! OMG! OMG! I loved this book just as much as I thought I would! I already liked Logan from Cheat Codes and End Game and I fell for him and Danielle in Side Hustle. I loved seeing their story unfold and Emily did a good job with pacing. She is such a talented writer who sucks you in from the first page and it's so hard to put the book down when you start it. I've read all 4 books in this series within a day of getting them. This book had me swooning and Danielle and Logan are my new favorite couple from the Dawson Family series! They were so perfect together! Danielle is so funny and awkward and so me, I could just relate to her perfectly! Some of the things she said and did had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions. Logan is boyfriend goals! He was so considerate and sweet and attentive to Danielle. Those Dawson boys know how to treat a woman right and Archer too, who's an honorary Dawson and probably should have took Quinn's name, haha. I enjoyed Danielle's grandpa as well. He gave her splendid advice and was funny too. It was nice to see Quinn and Archer and Scarlett and Wes and Owen and Jackson and the parents. Oh, and Dean too! Kara? Not so much. I still have not forgiven her for the way she treated Quinn and I probably never will. I didn't care for Danielle's family much but it was clear they loved her but had some problems. I can't wait for Owen's story next in Fight Dirty! Cheap Trick was everything I was hoping for and so much more and so worth the wait!
