(My) Most Anticipated Releases of 2018
Here are my top picks for the most exciting books of 2018! What are you most looking forward to this year?
A few of my favorite authors are coming out with some new books this year. I'm excited about these releases and I'm happy they are being staggered so I have something new to look forward to almost every month. Tell me what books you're most looking forward to this year in the comments below.
I enjoyed The Shadow Queen and The Wish Granter a lot so when I saw that there was a third Ravenspire book, I became excited. This is a dark epic fantasy inspired by The Prince and the Pauper and the fairy tale The False Prince. C. J. Redwine is a masterful storyteller and does a good job of making these retellings her own. I highly recommend reading the first two books while we wait for this one to come out on February 13th.
Emily R. King
The Hundredth Queen and the Fire Queen were intense! I received this one as an ARC and I am enjoying it so far. I cannot wait for it to be out on February 13th so that everyone else can enjoy it as well. Kalinda is a real bada** who is willing to do whatever it is she feels she needs to do to protect her family, friends, and her kingdom. It doesn't hurt that she has the most fearsome powers that exist. Check this one out and if you haven't read the first two, read them before this one comes out so you're all caught up!
This is my most anticipated release of 2018! I fell in love with the Shatter Me series a year and a half ago. I have not loved a series this much since I discovered the Study Series by Maria V. Snyder. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've read all three Shatter Me books AND the novellas. I love Juliette, Warner, and Kenji. I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble they get themselves into in this next installment. I am truly counting down the days until March 6th!
Sarah J. Maas
A Court of Thorns and Roses and its sequels were an excellent, steamy read. I absolutely love Feyre and Rhysand who give me relationship goals all day. This is a novella that will give us more of Feyre and Rhys along with others from the night court. This will old over fans of the series until the next installment is released. Sarah J. Maas has promised more to this series but it will follow different main characters. Depending on the characters, I am excited for that. Check out this new release on May 1st.
I've read all seven of the Hagenheim series and I enjoyed these fairy tale retellings. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and to see who shows up from past books. I found this series purely by chance when I was looking for some clean romance to use as research for my own writing. I never thought I'd read all seven in this series plus the three in one of her other series. Again, if you like a good fairytale retelling, then check out this series and be sure to be on the look out for The Orphan's Wish which will be out on June 26th.
Mary E. Pearson
This is the first in a new series by Mary E. Pearson. I enjoyed her The Remnant Chronicles series and this one will be based in that world. I cannot wait to see Kaden, Rafe, and Lia again as well as meet some new characters. August can't come fast enough! This one will be available on August 7th.
I enjoyed Strange the Dreamer a lot and it ended on a cliffhanger so I am anxious for this book. I want to see how Lazlo and Sarai work out their problems and I want all the questions of Weep to be answered. This book is going to be out on October 2nd which just so happens to be my 30th birthday too! I know what I'll be getting myself as a present!
