Archer has always wanted what he can’t have—Quinn Dawson. Since the moment he saw her, he’s been denying his feelings for her, ignoring the void in his heart he knows only she can fill. Everything about them was wrong, the kind of wrong that felt so right. But none of it mattered. Not the terrible timing. And definitely not the mess it would create if Archer made a move on his best friend’s baby sister. It was supposed to be one night, but one night is all it takes to make everything more complicated, and they only have nine short months to sort it all out. No, none of it mattered. Until it did.
My Rating: 5 Stars
I adored Quinn and Archer. And their relationship was amazing. The two of them annoyed me by not admitting their feelings for one another before falling into bed together. But I liked the two of them together. I liked Quinn's brothers, parents, and nephew. Her family were goals for how I want my future family to be. Her parents loved her so much and really only wanted her to be happy. Her brothers were appropriately protective since they were all older and she was the only girl. I loved the way they treated Archer. I didn't really get a feel for Dean's fiancee but she seemed nice enough. I think the characters in this book where well done and felt so real. The relationship between Archer and Quinn was very realistic even though it was frustrating. I also liked Archer's backstory about his family and that was done well and drawn out so that we did not see what was going on right away.
I think the book really started to get interesting when Quinn finally realized she was pregnant. I do not understand why that wasn't her first thought when she was feeling sick and dizzy but... I have to say that I loved Archer's reaction to hearing that she was pregnant. He only wanted to be there for Quinn and make her feel better which he kept doing. This was when the book finally started for me and I was interested in seeing how it would all play out. I was sad to see that there were not enough pages left for everything that needed to happen to happen so I knew there had to be a sequel. I am so excited for the next book and to see how Quinn and Archer's story ends.
